On Saturday, as I was watching Miss America, I heard “Hall of Fame” by The Script. Now, this might be something that everyone has already known about and I’ve just been living in a cave sans music, but I’m obsessed with it. This might be attributed to the fact that for the months of October and November I didn’t listen to anything but Imagine Dragons and Lindsey Stirling, so I rest my case. This song is so inspirational, and I’m sure it means something different to everyone, but I think that’s exactly the point. (I’m also obsessed with Seven Devils right now, thanks to Revenge and the Beautiful Creatures trailer.)
You can watch the video for Hall of Fame here! (For some reason WordPress won’t let me embed it right now…. it hates my HTML attempts.)
This song has made my day infinitely better, seeing as my spring semester classes start. I’m going to miss being at home with my family. Although it’s definitely not stress free, it’s nice to have that time off and not have to go to school, even though I still have to go to work. I think my brain also works differently over breaks, and I’m much more creative. Whenever I’m on breaks from school, I think up at least four novel ideas without even trying. The problem is, I write them down, but it’s hard to keep going and expanding when I have to go back and my entire brain is consumed by school work.
I just looked over the course outlines for my classes, and I’ll be reading about 1,500 pages a week. Here we go. Summer can’t come soon enough!
On another note, I’m really glad I’ve finally caught up with Once Upon A Time… can’t deny that I’m a fan of the newest Maybelline model eyeliner-clad pirate… I see what you did there, Disney.
